      The downward light sensor (DLS2) is an advanced incident light sensor. It measures ambient light and sun angle for each of the camera"s five multispectral bands. This information can be used by specialized processing tools to correct for global illumination changes in mid-flight, such as those that can occur when clouds cover the sun.
